The Trail Crew Leader training course is a two‐day course (you must attend both days) for any volunteer that wants to learn the basic technical trail work skills to lead a crew.

The Trail Crew Leader training course is a two‐day course (you must attend both days) for any volunteer that wants to learn the basic technical trail work skills to lead a crew. It will cover natural surface trail design, construction, maintenance and crew leader training. The focus is long term sustainability that can reduce overall maintenance needs and user impacts on natural resources. Trail crew leaders should have a strong commitment to building sustainable trails and get satisfaction out of helping others have a good time while doing good work.

The class will be held outside on the deck at the Jones Bridge Environmental Education Center. We will be following the CDC guidelines (social distancing and masks will be required. 
 
Saturday: Trail Design, Layout and Construction class
9:00-12:00 Indoor classroom session
12:00-1:00 Lunch
1:00-4:00 Outdoor field session
 
Sunday: Trail Maintenance and Crew Leader Training class
9:00-12:00 Indoor classroom session
12:00-1:00 Lunch
1:00-4:00 Outdoor field session
