Cochran Shoals Multi-Use Trail Status

The Cochran Shoals/Sope Creek Multi-Use Trails are used by Bikers, Runners, Walkers and Hikers and is one of the most popular trails withing the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Due to the heavy use these trails require ongoing maintenance by the parks volunteers and partners. Please help us to keep these trails in good condition by not riding or trail running when the ground is wet.

Please check the status of the trails by checking this page or by texting “Ride” to (770) 727-5061. The Text to Ride system is managed by the CRNRA, the land manager of these trails and provides the official status of these trails.
Please take notice of the new directional signs for both bikes and foot traffic, bikers, please yield to walkers and runners.

The Sope Creek, Columns Drive multi-use trails are dry. Riders, please yield to walkers and runners.
